Dream House Drafting has teamed up with TJR WORKS! general contracting to bring Oahu residents a full service package to bring properties up to current building codes. Below is a list of just some of the things we can do for you or your clients!
Find Permit Information on Existing Properties
We will find information on the property title, building permit information, description of work completed on property, date work done, etc. and check to see if the home/project is permitted.
Providing Building Inspection Services
We will inspect the property and compare the blueprints on file to find out if there is any unpermitted work or illegal additions.
Providing Building Permit Services
The building permit application process can include, but is not limited to; filling out building permit application documents, submit drawings (routing the drawings through the various offices in the City Government that need to review and approve the project), providing contractor statements, verifying any subcontractors such as electricians, plumbers, etc. have current and valid contractor’s licenses/certifications, complying with examiner reviews, paying required fees when informed that application is approved and the permit is “ready to issue”.
Provide Architectural and General Contracting Services
Our team of highly trained professionals will do any contracting and/or architectural work that is needed on the building in a timely manner and will not do anything that
not required unless otherwise specified.
Provide an “After the Fact Building Permit”
Once we know the building fails to meet code, we will provide you with the retroactive permit. This service includes; a site visit by design or drafting professional to measure existing condition, draft agreement for drafting and permit routing services, drafting of drawing package that meets all the requirements outlined on the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Planning and Permitting Checklist for Residential Building Permit applications, paying all balances on drawings, submit the permit application and drawings to the Department of Planning and Permitting for approval, forward required building permit fee to design professional so they can be paid to the Building Department.
